Ready, set, results
Once you have your training and nutrition routine sorted, it’s time to get results. Whether you’re on a 6 week or 6 month plan, the key is to stay consistent to try and make the most progress possible week on week. Take a look at our top tips to help you get the results you want.
Find a workout partner
Sometimes, all you need is a little bit of encouragement from someone else to help keep you motivated and stay on track. Finding a friend, family member or work colleague who has the same goals as you is great as you can train together and build a support network. Even if you don’t workout together, having a person to support you on your journey can make a real difference and help you get those results.
Care about nutrition
You can’t out-train a bad diet! It’s simple, stick to your weekly nutrition plan consistently and you’ll start to see results. Remember, it’s completely fine to change your nutrition style if needed, making it easier or stricter so it’s more realistic for you and your lifestyle. It’s also important to limit alcohol intake, and if you do drink, opt for low calorie beverages such as vodka, gin and diet soda or tonic water.
Train hard or go home
Along with following your diet plan as strictly as possible, go hard when you train. We recommend training from 3 to 5 times per week to see the best results, working to the best of your ability each time you exercise. In each session, try to get your technique spot on and perform good quality reps to improve your overall result. Check out everything you need to know about training hard here.
Hit your daily targets
Set yourself daily targets to stay motivated and move towards your goal. For example, boost your NEAT daily by hitting 10-12k steps, alongside your training regime. On the nutrition side, make sure you’re hitting your calorie goal, and more importantly, your protein goal. You should be eating 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. Eyes on the prize
Constantly remind yourself of why you started and the end goal you want to achieve. Mindset is everything, so immerse yourself in your programme, stay focused and reap the results.
